My Story
About 5 years ago, i found myself working for a terrible boss at an unethical company. The work culture was toxic, and I felt like my values were constantly being compromised. I also worked long hours with no recognition or appreciation. Despite the decent pay, I felt miserable and dreaded going to work every day.
After months of struggling with burnout and feeling undervalued, I needed to make a change. Unlike some grand stories you hear on the internet, i didn’t have the ability to just up and leave my job… I had bills to pay and responsibilities to take care of. But I knew something had to change.
So, I started small–I started a YouTube Channel and wrote a book. It was a way for me to express my passions and share knowledge, without the restrictions of my job. These side projects gave me a sense of purpose outside of work, and helped me focus on something positive.
Eventually, I was able to transition to a new company with a better culture and more opportunities for growth. Like you, I still face challenges in my work environment, but having a positive outlet outside of work and being proactive about my career development has made all the difference.
