Do you know the signs of jealous coworkers? If not, you could be in for a rough ride. In this blog post, we will discuss 8 signs that show your coworkers are jealous and resentful towards your success. The signs can vary from things they say to physical signs that they exhibit!

1. They try to get you in trouble

The first of the signs of jealous coworkers is that that they will try to get you in trouble.

They might give your boss false information or claim that something is yours when it’s not. This could ruin your reputation and potentially even cost you a promotion!

If you think your coworker might be trying to sabotage you, it’s time to have a serious conversation with them.

Don’t wait until there is no turning back – every second that goes by could potentially cost you big-time!

2. They refuse to help you when needed

The second signs of jealous coworkers are that they will refuse to help you when needed.

When your coworker sees you struggling, do they come over and lend a hand? If not, then their unwillingness shows one thing: how envious they are!

They hope that seeing you struggle might make them look better in comparison. One day this will catch up to them because it shows how unreliable they are.

Be sure not to fall into the same trap! Be kind and always lend a helping hand – even if your coworker is being difficult about things!

You’ll go far in life by being nice instead of bitter.

3. They spread rumors about you and your work

The third signs of jealous coworkers are that they spread rumors about you and your work.

They might say things like, “I think John is the one who broke Joan’s screen yesterday.” All this does make people not trust you – which will eventually cost you in the long run!

Over time, these rumors can ruin your name and become the new “truth.”

If you think your coworker might be doing this, it’s time to confront them. Don’t let their rumors get out of control because that could ruin any future opportunities for yourself!

4. They start acting like they’re better than everyone else at the company, including their boss

The fourth signs of jealous coworkers are that they start acting like they’re better than everyone else at the company, including their boss.

If your coworker claims to know your boss much better than you do, this shows how envious and ambitious he/she is! When someone acts superior to others it’s a sign of insecurity. They feel that acting superior will give them more power.

If you think your coworker might be doing this, don’t get caught up in their bs! Stay humble and work hard because it will pay off over time.

Do yourself a favor – leave the office politics to them so they can sink themselves while you move on with your career.

5. You notice that they always seem mad or annoyed with everything

The fifth signs of jealous coworkers are that you notice they always seem mad or annoyed with everything.

If your coworker is constantly angry, it’s because deep down inside he/she is unhappy about themselves – and also probably envious of you!

When someone feels like their life isn’t where they wanted to be (or maybe even worse than where they are now), it can eat them up inside.

If you think your coworker might be doing this, approach them with kindness and compassion – not judgment. Their negative attitude isn’t about you at all! It’s more personal than that…

6. Their body language changes when you’re around them

The sixth signs of jealous coworkers are that their body language changes when you’re around.

They might act more uptight with a scowl on their face, or they could even try to avoid eye contact! This is because your coworker feels like he/she needs to be “perfect” in order for you to like them.

They don’t realize that you probably aren’t even thinking about it! But what they do know is how envious they are of everything you’ve accomplished in life…which makes them act out in jealousy instead.

If this is happening, try not to pay attention to their signs – just continue being yourself because your positive attitude will shine through to them!

7. They’re constantly checking your social media pages

The seventh signs of jealous coworkers are that they’re constantly checking your social media pages.

They might say things like, “Oh I just saw a funny picture on Facebook you should see!” or “How do you have time to post so many pictures?” If their comments seem out-of-the-blue and weirdly timed then it’s time to be on the lookout!

If you think your coworker might be doing this, document what they’re saying and do some research into their behavior. Ask around if anyone else has noticed signs of jealousy from them too…and then confront them with kindness about it!

8. They are always trying to make you feel bad about your accomplishments

The eighth signs of jealousy in coworkers are that they’re always trying to make you feel bad about your accomplishments.

They’ll try and downplay what you’ve done by saying things like, “Oh I wasn’t really a big part of the project,” or “It was all Mark’s work!” This is their attempt at making themselves seem like they’re more important than you.

They might even try and make you feel like your accomplishments don’t matter in the long run, but that’s not true! They just have a serious case of jealousy going on which makes them say these things.

If this is happening, it will be tough to communicate what you’ve noticed to them because most people with signs of jealousy will deny it. However, you can at least try to set boundaries and be more clear about your work!

Signs of Jealous Coworkers in a Nutshell

If your coworker continues their signs of jealous behavior then document everything they say or do that is negative towards you – this way if anything happens in the future, you have proof to back up your claims.

If you think your coworker is trying to be mean, and their signs of jealous behavior are hurtful – try setting boundaries with them about what you can and cannot handle hearing from them!

Don’t worry about the signs of jealous coworkers…just focus on yourself instead because that’s where true happiness comes from!
